The local people, both in Zimbabwe and Zambia, refer to the Falls as Mosi-oa-Tunya, which means The Smoke That Thunders. You’ll see why.
 
What a day it must have been for the great explorer and missionary, David Livingstone, when he came across the mighty Victoria Falls. The sight and sound of the massive Zambezi River rushing and crashing into the gorge below, could only have taken his breath away, as it will yours so many years later.

THE BOMA – DINNER & DRUM SHOW

The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show is a ‘must do’ Victoria Falls dining and entertainment experience, specialising in traditional African food, drumming and dancing. The food is cooked and served in the style and quantity of a lavish feast, including irresistible desserts. On arrival, you are dressed in a chitenge (traditional sarong) and welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere in which the tantalising aromas of local dishes and game meat on the braai (barbecue) fill the restaurant, which is partially open to the star-filled African sky. Your meal begins with a mouth-watering platter of starters whilst the buffet includes soup from the campfire, a range of salads, game meat cooked on a braai (barbecue), followed by desserts.  Vegetarian options are also available, as well as local dishes such as peanut butter spinach. You can also look forward to outstanding performances by traditional singers and dancers, and enjoy an energising interactive drumming show. A face painter, storyteller, hair braider and fortune teller also form part of this festive evening.

SUNSET CRUISE

EVENING TOUR
Put your feet up, sip a sundowner as the light gently fades, and let our tranquil wildlife cruise float you along the Zambezi River above the Falls.  You'll have the finest vantage point from which to watch hippo, crocodiles and other animals which come down to the river's edge in the early evening, to slake their thirst.  Enjoy your cocktail and snacks while captivated by the sun's dying rays as they cast a burnt orange glow which shimmers on the river. Take another sip in this golden setting.

TOUR OF THE FALLS

BUNGI JUMPING

Take the 111 metre bungi jump plunge into the Batoka Gorge, with the Zambezi rushing up to meet you, only to stop 10 metres short of the river water. You’re given the choice of a single jump alone, or tandem with a partner. It’s exhilarating, and as with any professional organisation, you’ll be given a comprehensive safety briefing prior to the jump, and are assisted back to the bridge with the help of support crew.

We’re exploring Victoria Falls inside, outside, and right from the top - it’s a full tour, and you’ll thrill to every aspect of the fascinating stroll through the permanent gentle rain and mist occurring alongside the Falls, stopping off at the key view sites for a photo call! Here, you’ll be bombarded by the mighty roar of tons of water crashing over the series of ledges – it’s literally breath-taking. Experience an interactive visit to the local village, where we meet and learn more of the active roles played by both men and women in this society. Visit an actual homestead in the village, talking to those who live and work there, and watching their lifestyle and cultural norms. Make sure you’ve room in your bag because we’re visiting a small curio shop, filled with homemade items for sale, all crafted by the extended family members of this homestead.

CHOBE DAY TRIP

FULL DAY TOUR
This is a sensational trip - land- and water-based game viewing. Your first game sighting is from The Chobe River, teaming with animals, you sitting securely on board, just off the riverbank, game viewing from the relaxing vantage point of a boat. You’re on the mighty Chobe River which flows through the renowned Chobe National Park providing a haven for herds of grazing animals and bird life. Just sit back, relax, and keep those binoculars handy. Watch this glorious scene unfolding itself – large herds of elephant, often with the tiniest frolicking calves, kicking up dust as they wait their turn at the water’s edge to drink.
 
Frighteningly large crocodiles sun themselves on the banks of the river, mouths agape, teeth terrifying. Glorious birdlife, wonderful game, and the gentle rocking of the riverboat. Can life get any better? Apparently. When we disembark, we join our open safari vehicle for a drive through the Chobe Game Reserve with the chance of seeing more wildlife and birdlife, and a gorgeous lunch at a lodge awaiting us.... overlooking the Chobe River. We make our way down to the historic Railway Bridge, briefly entering Zambia for stunning views of the Falls and a rainbow-filled sunset, before returning to the hotel.

Guests will be hosted by a local family in their residence and served a traditional African homemade meal, (it can be lunch or dinner). The authentic home cooked meal includes sadza or rice as main dish together with beef stew, chicken stew, kapenta fish, Soya chunks, mopane worms, kale and pumpkin leaves. Grilled potatoes, and a green salad complete the dishes.  Seasonal traditional fruits, mazoe orange crush and tea are also served.  Don’t feel like you must try it all but it will be great fun if you do!

THE ELEPHANT ART OF AFRICA

This is a unique elephant experience that is brought to life by the artistic strokes of the guest fingertips, while surrounded by the African bush.  After interacting with the elephants, you will make your way down to the adjacent waterhole and mud wallow where, under the shade of an enormous Mopane tree, you will find a chair and easel - each set up with a fresh sheet of paper. Brightly coloured aprons and palettes with bright splotches of paint will also be handed out.  Once finished, enjoy a delicious two-course buffet lunch accompanied by a cold beverage rounding off a perfect morning’s experience.
